Moving/rotating a barbell navel piercing ?

Last time I got my belly-button pierced, they put in a CBR ring after & told me that when I clean it to rotate it to make sure I get the stuff inside.

I got it re-pierced yesterday & had them put in a curved barbell. Should I try to move this one (up & down ) when cleaning it? It really doesn’t have that much room to move, but, should I try anyways?
I haven’t changed the piercing as I just got it yesterday ( &, I highly doubt it’s healed yet either, as they take 2 months to heal). The barbell is what I had the piercer put in after he made the hole.

With the CBR example, I was referring to a piercing I had done last year (but had to take out & let close up due to various reasons)
So, if I don’t move it, then, will it (the piercing) heal around it (the barbell) & the skin (& inside) grow/stick to it & make it difficult when it comes time to change it?

Don’t move the piercing around. You were given bad advice when you got it done the first time. Moving the jewelry will cause the healing tissue to become irritated and start the healing process again. It will take much longer to heal this way. Also, any germs that are on the outside of the jewelry will then be dragged into the open wound. You don’t want that happening. Lymph will naturally drain out of the piecing, and you can gently remove it with a cotton swab (remember to do a sea salt soak first to soften it up).
