Has anyone ever heard of the flu causing a stillborn?
I lost a daughter to stillborn at 32 weeks 8 weeks ago. At delivery they told me that she had passes weeks before that. I was so sick then. I had a high fever and congested. I called the docter and they prescribed a antibiotic. I thought that she was moving but now I know that she wasn’t. I also was having vivid dreams those weeks of someone taking my baby or me loosing her. Was that a way God was trying to tell me? I always thought that I would deliver early, but i never thought that she would die. The autopsy report said that there was nothing wrong with her, Her umbilical cord was closed and twisted by her belly. I believe that I knew something was going to happen but I wasn’t prepared for that. I love her so much. I can feel my heart breaking.
Many stillbirths have no explanation. If your baby’s cord was twisted and closed off, that was likely the cause, since it would have prevented nutrients, blood, and oxygen from getting to the baby. My son also died from a cord accident. Other than that, he was perfect.
I am so sorry for your loss. Mine was a shock too. I had made it right up to delivery, and then I came out with nothing. I hope you have people you can talk to and lean on.
