Is tea tree oil okay to use to clean out your Belly Button Ring?
i got my belly button pierced a few days ago..and im using diluted tea tree oil to clean it with.
Im just wondering if this is a good idea because im worried about getting an infection
(the body piercing place gave it to me to use but alot of other people dont use it)
u know to be honest..i got my piercing done in april and it just recently started to give me problems..i had a little bubble on the inside of my belly button and i had flesh coming out of the bottom hole…it was bleeding and quite disgusting…so i put a little bit of tea tree oil and bactine in a shot glass…just enough to cover the piercing..i soaked it for about 2 minutes……..and then i soaked it in seasalt soak for another couple minutes…..and i did that for the next day..and now the bubble is gone..and i see it is completly healed..no pain..no bleeding and no flesh..it feels good and looks great as it should….
but i hear that tea tree can actually be very bad for the piercing..but honestly its the best thing i ever used…i wouldnt use it as your main healing method…maybe start off with the sea salt..and then as a few months go by use tea tree maybe once every other day….once again..not too much..incase ur piercing cant take it…..
dont use antibiotic creams or alcohol…this stops the piercing from breathing and can cause an infection….so dont listen to the other people who say use creams..it will make it worse….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
